William Joe Hall (W.J.) Obituary

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Craggie Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Mills and Rev. Valarie James officiating. Interment will follow in the Young Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, April 11, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home, and on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service at the church.


For those desiring, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.


William Joe "W.J." Hall, age 88 of Craggie Hope, passed away on March 24, 2025, in his home surrounded by family. He was born on April 7, 1936, in Nashville, TN, to the late Willie L. Hall and Martha Jane Baggerly.


W.J. was married for over 69 years to the love of his life, Evie Lanell Tutor Hall. He worked for many years as the County Court Clerk in Cheatham County. Mr. Hall was a longtime faithful member of the Craggie Hope United Methodist Church.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Perry Wendell Hall and Neil Hall; and his granddaughter, Brianna Paige Hall.


Survivors include his wife, Evie Nell Hall of Craggie Hope; his children: Cheryl Hall Forrester (Wade) of Pulaski, Carol Hall Shanley of Craggie Hope, Crystal Hall Eason (Mike) of Ashland City, and William Tudor Hall of Craggie Hope; his brother, Clyde Hall (Missy) of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
